What is Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy?

Naturopathic nutritional therapy uses the healing power of nature to help support the body back to wellness. It aims to empower the individual to heal themselves and to encourage long term health and well-being, through appropriate dietary and lifestyle adjustments.

The naturopathic approach works with the individual to assess the root cause of presenting symptoms, not just the symptoms themselves, and suggests therapeutic protocols to help deal with these.

Naturopathic nutritional therapy works with the whole person, looks at all the factors involved in influencing health and well-being and educates the individual as to why certain dietary and lifestyle factors may be contributing to ill health.

This approach takes into consideration factors such as the client’s diet, digestion, absorption of nutrients, stress and energy levels and medical history. Advice is then tailored to the individual and uses natural approaches, such as wholefoods and relaxation techniques, to help support and re-balance the body.

Nutritional therapy aims to support all the major systems of the body (skeletal, muscular, nervous, respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, excretory, endocrine, immune, reproductive and integumentary [skin, hair, nails]).
